Park Medi World has unveiled an ambitious ₹500 crore expansion program aimed at increasing its hospital network to nearly 5,600 operational beds by the end of FY2028. The growth roadmap includes new hospital projects, capacity expansion at existing facilities, and the integration of acquired assets.
The announcement was well received by the market, with the company’s shares rising more than 3% during Tuesday’s trading session. While the expansion is expected to strengthen its long-term healthcare presence, the company has indicated that occupancy levels may temporarily soften as newly launched hospitals gradually reach optimal utilization.
One of the key projects under the plan is the expansion of the Palam Vihar hospital in Gurugram, operated through its subsidiary, Umkal Health Care. Park Medi World will invest ₹25 crore to increase the facility’s capacity by 100 beds, taking it from 225 beds to 325 beds. The additional capacity is expected to become operational in November 2026.
The company is also preparing to launch a 200-bed hospital in Narela, Delhi, acquired through the insolvency process. Other planned developments include a 150-bed facility in Mohali and a 200-bed hospital in Ambala, both targeted for completion by the end of 2027. A new 250-bed greenfield hospital in Rohtak is scheduled to open in early 2028, while an asset-light 400-bed hospital in Gorakhpur is expected to begin operations by mid-2027.
With these investments, Park Medi World aims to significantly expand its healthcare footprint and strengthen its capacity to serve more patients across key regions. Although the new facilities may take time to achieve full occupancy, the expansion reflects the company’s long-term commitment to growth and improved healthcare delivery.
