The Indian Dental Association (IDA) will organise the Hyderabad Dental Convention (HDC) 2026 on July 25–26 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad. Telangana Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Damodar Raja Narsimha will inaugurate the two-day event.
Held under the theme “Connecting Minds, Advancing Dentistry,” the convention is expected to attract more than 6,000 dentists, academicians, researchers, students and industry professionals from across India. Senior IDA leaders, including Dr. Manoj Srivastava, Dr. Nitin Barve and Dr. Ashok Dhoble, will participate in the inaugural session.
One of the key highlights of HDC 2026 is its focus on Sports Dentistry, an emerging specialty that promotes oral healthcare for athletes. Discussions will cover injury prevention, athlete oral health, custom mouthguards, emergency dental care and the growing role of dentistry in sports medicine.
The scientific programme will feature experts from India and abroad presenting the latest developments in digital dentistry, implantology, orthodontics, endodontics, esthetic rehabilitation, preventive dentistry, artificial intelligence, biomaterials and minimally invasive treatment techniques. Participants will also have the opportunity to attend practical workshops and clinical training sessions on modern dental technologies and procedures.
The convention will include a large dental trade exhibition with over 250 national and international exhibitors displaying the latest equipment, materials and innovations in oral healthcare.
Students and young professionals will participate in UDAAN, an academic and cultural platform featuring paper presentations, poster competitions, quizzes, debates, table clinics and cultural performances.
Ahead of the event, the HDC 2026 organising committee and IDA office-bearers met Telangana Health Minister Shri Damodar Raja Narsimha to formally invite him as the Chief Guest. The delegation was led by Dr. Srikanth, Organising Chairman of HDC 2026 and Secretary of IDA Deccan, along with other organising committee members.
With its strong scientific programme, dedicated focus on emerging dental specialties and extensive industry participation, Hyderabad Dental Convention 2026 is set to provide an important platform for learning, collaboration and showcasing the latest innovations in dentistry.
