Hyderabad, October 11, 2026: Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City, hosted the 6th edition of W4C as part of W4C & CRITIC 2026, in collaboration with The Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM), Hyderabad Chapter. The academic gathering brought together leading critical care specialists, medical professionals, researchers and international faculty to discuss advancements, emerging technologies and the future of Critical Care Medicine.
With participation from eminent faculty representing 10 countries, W4C & CRITIC 2026 provided a platform for knowledge sharing, scientific discussions and international academic collaboration. The event aimed to strengthen clinical expertise, encourage research and promote the adoption of evidence-based practices in critical care.
The event was graced by Shri Shiv Pratap Shukla garu, Hon’ble Governor of Telangana, as the Chief Guest to inaugurate the conference and bless the gathering.

The conference featured plenary sessions, keynote addresses, panel discussions, specialised workshops, the W4C Oration and Best Paper Awards recognising young researchers. Around 20 specialised workshops were conducted across major hospitals in the twin cities, offering hands-on learning opportunities to more than 500 doctors from different parts of the country. Overall, the event was expected to bring together more than 800 medical professionals.
The conference highlighted the expanding role of Critical Care Medicine in modern healthcare, particularly in managing complex and life-threatening conditions. Discussions focused on advances in intensive care, organ transplantation, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), extracorporeal therapies, advanced ventilation and point-of-care diagnostics. W4C has grown into an important academic platform for nurturing young talent and advancing clinical skills, research and innovation in critical care. The 2026 edition further reinforced the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration and continuous medical education in improving patient outcomes.
The event also underscored the growing need to strengthen critical care infrastructure and specialist training in Telangana. Initiatives to expand intensive care services and introduce postgraduate super-speciality training opportunities in Critical Care Medicine are important steps towards developing a skilled workforce and enhancing access to advanced critical care.
As the host venue, Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City, reaffirmed its commitment to supporting medical education, clinical excellence and the exchange of knowledge among healthcare professionals. By facilitating academic engagement and collaboration, the event contributed to ongoing efforts to advance critical care practices and strengthen the healthcare ecosystem.
