Aksigen IVF Unveils India’s First Immersive IVF Knowledge Centre to Transform Patient Awareness in Mumbai

Aksigen IVF has introduced a first-of-its-kind immersive IVF Knowledge Centre in India, reinforcing its focus on patient-centric fertility care. Located in Andheri East, Mumbai, the newly inaugurated Bharat Daftary Knowledge Centre is designed to strengthen understanding, awareness, and informed decision-making among individuals and couples exploring fertility treatments.

With the growing uptake of IVF across the country, many patients still enter treatment with limited clarity about reproductive health, medical processes, and available choices. Recognising this gap, Aksigen IVF developed the Knowledge Centre to provide structured, reliable, and easy-to-understand educational support—an area often underrepresented in fertility care.

The centre offers a thoughtfully curated, multi-zone learning environment that integrates physical displays with digital tools and immersive technologies. Its objective is to explain fertility science in a compassionate and accessible way while maintaining privacy, dignity, and emotional sensitivity throughout the patient journey.

At the facility, visitors are taken through a guided educational pathway led by Aksigen’s trained professionals. The walkthrough combines immersive technology with human-focused design, simplifying complex IVF concepts, dispelling common misconceptions, and addressing emotional concerns. Real-life patient experiences and transparent communication form a core part of the learning experience, helping to build trust and confidence.

Speaking at the inauguration, Dr Gautam Daftary, Founder, Chairman and Managing Director, Aksigen IVF, said, “The Bharat Daftary Knowledge Centre reflects our deep commitment to putting patients first. Fertility journeys can be emotionally and medically complex, and this centre has been created to simplify science, address fears, and empower individuals with the right information to make confident, informed choices.”

Emphasising the value of patient education in clinical outcomes, Dr Shirish Daftary, former Dean of Nowrosjee Wadia Maternity Hospital and Member of the Scientific Advisory Board, Aksigen IVF, stated, “In fertility care, informed patients are better prepared patients. This Knowledge Centre allows us to explain complex medical concepts in a clear, visual, and reassuring manner, enabling more meaningful doctor–patient conversations and strengthening trust.”

The Bharat Daftary Knowledge Centre is organised into multiple dedicated zones. These include a Brand and Legacy Zone highlighting Aksigen’s roots in reproductive healthcare through its association with Bharat Serum and Vaccines; an Interactive Education Zone featuring digital displays, animated narratives, and self-guided kiosks supported by the brand’s mascot, Anira; and a Personalised Science Zone that delivers evidence-based, condition-specific learning pathways. Additionally, visitors can experience a 360-degree virtual reality walkthrough that visually maps the entire IVF process from beginning to end.

By translating complex reproductive science into clear, relatable, and reassuring information, the centre seeks to ease patient anxiety and encourage more active, confident participation in fertility treatment decisions.
