Apollo Pharmacy has reached a significant milestone in Telangana with the opening of its 1000th outlet in the state. The new store was inaugurated on 28 February by Upasana Kamineni Konidela, Vice Chairperson – CSR at Apollo Hospitals. The expansion reflects the company’s continued push to make reliable healthcare products and services more widely available across the region.
Presence in Every District
With the launch of this landmark store, Apollo Pharmacy now has a presence in all 33 districts of Telangana. This development further strengthens the network’s reach in both metropolitan centres and semi-urban locations, reinforcing its position as the country’s largest pharmacy chain.
Customers across the state now have access to more than 50,000 authentic medicines and wellness products at any time of day. The company also offers prompt delivery services throughout Telangana, helping bridge gaps in last-mile access to essential healthcare supplies.
The company’s growth in the state has also translated into significant employment generation. According to the official announcement, over 10,000 individuals are currently employed within Apollo Pharmacy’s retail outlets, digital operations, and supply chain network in Telangana.
On a daily basis, the pharmacy network fulfils more than 1.65 lakh medicine orders. Looking forward, the company has outlined plans to establish over 200 additional stores across the state within the next three years, a move expected to further strengthen healthcare accessibility while creating new job opportunities.
Focus on Women-Centric Opportunities
Addressing the gathering during the inauguration, Upasana Kamineni Konidela underlined that the achievement goes beyond commercial growth. She highlighted Apollo’s focus on generating meaningful, long-term employment, with particular emphasis on opportunities for women throughout Telangana.
As expansion continues, the organisation aims to foster inclusive work environments that support women in building stable careers, stepping into leadership positions, and achieving financial self-reliance — ultimately contributing to stronger families and communities.
Technology-Enabled Integrated Care
In addition to its growing physical footprint, Apollo enhances its healthcare services through its omni-channel digital platform, Apollo 24/7. The platform enables users to consult Apollo doctors via telemedicine, book diagnostic services, and explore personalised insurance options, all without needing to visit a hospital or pharmacy in person.
