Fortis Opens Adayu Mental Health Centre Amid Growing Demand for Psychiatric Care

Fortis Healthcare has introduced Adayu, a new mental health hospital in Gurugram that aims to deliver personalised and comprehensive psychiatric care.

This 36-bed facility has been created as a specialised environment for individuals needing structured mental health support, blending clinical expertise with a soothing and therapeutic atmosphere.

Adayu features private treatment spaces and outcome-driven care plans, supported by multidisciplinary specialists trained to manage diverse mental health conditions. The hospital’s approach centres on integrated care pathways designed to aid patients who require long-term, consistent support for recovery.

Executives from Fortis and IHH were present at the inauguration, highlighting the organisation’s broader commitment to strengthening mental health infrastructure across India. The initiative builds on Fortis’ ongoing efforts to make professional, evidence-based mental health services more accessible.

In related news, Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI) recently launched Hembot, the country’s first life-sized humanoid robot developed specifically for use in healthcare environments.

Hembot is powered by the NVIDIA Jetson Orin platform, enabling it to perform up to 100 trillion AI operations per second.

The robot was showcased to demonstrate how humanoid technology can assist hospitals with tasks such as patient navigation, information support, monitoring assistance, and engagement in outpatient and waiting-area settings. Reports also noted that Hembot performed coordinated movements while responding to commands and interactions.
