Kerala Tourism Website Tops India’s Digital Tourism Rankings for 2024-25

In a major digital milestone, the official website of Kerala Tourism has emerged as the most visited state tourism portal in India for the year 2024-25, overtaking even the Union Government’s flagship Incredible India website. The ranking was released by global web analytics leader Similarweb, known for its authoritative traffic assessments

Kerala Tourism’s digital platform not only leads nationally but has also made a mark on the global stage. It now holds the second position among global travel and tourism websites, standing just behind Thailand’s official tourism site. Other notable mentions in the international top five include Vietnam Tourism, Incredible India, and Indonesia Tourism.

A breakdown of the website’s traffic sources reveals that approximately 5.8 million users accessed the platform via search engines, over one million users typed the URL directly (keralatourism.org), and another million arrived through paid advertisements. Impressively, the site recorded visits from users in over 200 countries, reflecting its growing global appeal.

Tourism and Public Works Minister P.A. Mohamed Riyas credited this achievement to Kerala Tourism’s forward-thinking approach to digital promotion. He said the department focused on developing innovative content and experiences tailored to modern-day travelers.

Currently, the Kerala Tourism website offers more than 100,000 pages of content in over 20 international languages, showcasing the state’s rich culture, natural beauty, and travel experiences. It has previously been acknowledged as one of the top 10 tourism websites across the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions.

This digital leap reinforces Kerala’s position not just as a top travel destination, but also as a leader in online tourism marketing.
