Aster DM Quality Care has announced plans to invest ₹1,315 crore in Karnataka as part of its long-term strategy to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and expand access to advanced medical services across the state.
The investment commitment was announced following a meeting between Aster DM Quality Care Executive Chairman Azad Moopen and Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar.
According to the company, Karnataka remains a key market in its India growth strategy due to its strong healthcare ecosystem, skilled clinical workforce, and leadership in medical innovation. The planned investment is aimed at expanding healthcare capacity while supporting medical education, research, and improved patient outcomes through collaboration with the state government.
Aster DM Quality Care currently operates 39 hospitals with more than 10,600 beds across its network, including four hospitals in Karnataka with a combined capacity of 1,329 operational beds.
As part of the expansion, the company is developing a 550-bed Aster Hospital in Yeshwantpur, a 460-bed Aster Hospital in Sarjapur, and a 350-bed expansion of Aster CMI Hospital. Once completed, these projects are expected to significantly enhance Bengaluru’s tertiary and quaternary care capacity and help meet the region’s growing demand for specialized healthcare services.
The investment underscores Aster DM Quality Care’s continued focus on expanding its presence in Karnataka while contributing to the state’s evolving healthcare landscape through modern infrastructure and advanced clinical capabilities.
