Yashoda Medicity has entered into a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Turkistan City in Kazakhstan to strengthen cooperation in specialised healthcare, patient referrals, medical training and clinical knowledge sharing.
The partnership is designed to create a structured route for patients from Turkistan who need advanced medical treatment in India. It will also support cross-border tele-consultations, second opinions and treatment planning, helping healthcare professionals in both countries collaborate on complex cases.
Under the agreement, patients requiring tertiary and quaternary care can be referred to Yashoda Medicity for specialised interventions. The partnership will also explore coordination for appointments, admissions and visa-related processes, in line with applicable regulations. Yashoda Medicity will appoint a Nodal Officer to manage and coordinate referrals.
Healthcare workforce development is another key component of the MoU. Doctors, nurses and paramedical professionals from Turkistan may undertake short- or long-term training, clinical observerships and fellowship programmes. The two institutions will also share expertise in areas such as hospital management and quality systems.
The Turkistan Health Care Department will support patient referrals, coordinate with Yashoda Medicity and nominate healthcare professionals for training opportunities. Yashoda Medicity will facilitate treatment for patients referred through the department, subject to availability.

The agreement also establishes provisions covering patient confidentiality, data protection, medical ethics and privacy. Tele-consultation and treatment-planning mechanisms will enable clinical coordination between medical teams in India and Kazakhstan while remaining subject to applicable laws and regulations.
The MoU comes as India and Central Asian countries continue to explore stronger healthcare ties. The 4th India-Central Asia Dialogue in June 2025 highlighted healthcare and medical tourism as areas with potential for greater regional cooperation.
The partnership between Yashoda Medicity and Turkistan City could therefore strengthen access to advanced medical care for patients from Kazakhstan while creating new avenues for clinical training, institutional collaboration and knowledge exchange between the two countries.
