Aster DM Quality Care Ltd is set to invest around ₹134.4 crore through its subsidiary, KIMS Health Care Management Ltd (KHML), to expand its hospital facility in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
The expansion plan, approved by KHML’s Board of Directors, includes the development of a new hospital block and the optimisation of existing infrastructure at KIMSHEALTH Hospital.
The project will increase the hospital’s capacity by 184 beds, taking the total from the current 795 beds to approximately 979 beds. The expansion is expected to be completed by May 2028 or earlier.
The investment will be financed through a combination of debt and equity, with 70% of the funding coming from debt and the remaining 30% from equity.
According to the company, the expansion is aimed at easing existing space limitations while creating room for growth in key medical specialties. It is also expected to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in Thiruvananthapuram and support the hospital’s long-term expansion plans.
With the additional capacity and upgraded infrastructure, the project is expected to enhance KIMSHEALTH Hospital’s ability to meet the growing demand for advanced healthcare services in the region.
