More than 200 people received specialist medical consultations during a free Mother and Child Health Check-up Camp organised by ShardaCare – Healthcity at its Greater Noida hospital on September 26, 2026.
The initiative brought together specialists from paediatrics, neonatology, obstetrics, gynaecology and IVF, with a focus on preventive care, early diagnosis and timely medical guidance for women, children and families.
Several women attended the camp for concerns related to menstruation, hormonal health and pregnancy. Doctors also addressed gynaecological conditions and provided guidance on preventive care.
Dr. (Prof.) Ruchi Srivastava, Director – Obstetrics & Gynaecology, said around 40 per cent of women who sought consultations during the camp showed features suggestive of PCOS.
She also advised women not to ignore persistent pelvic pain, unusual bleeding or major changes in their menstrual cycle.
The camp also offered special packages for male and female fertility investigations and cervical cancer-related services.
Fertility-related concerns formed another important part of the consultations. According to Dr. Tarang Yadav, Director – IVF, about 30 per cent of couples who sought advice reported difficulty conceiving.
“Infertility may be linked to female factors, male factors or a combination of both,” Yadav said, highlighting the importance of assessing both partners during fertility evaluation.
Doctors also discussed concerns linked to hormonal health and menopause, while pregnancy specialists stressed the value of pre-conception counselling and regular antenatal care.
Dr. Khushboo Saxena, Senior Consultant – Obstetrics & Gynaecology, said routine antenatal assessments help doctors track the health of both mother and baby. Such monitoring becomes especially important when a woman has an existing medical condition or other pregnancy-related risk factors.
Parents also used the camp to discuss their children’s growth, development and overall health with paediatric and neonatal specialists.
Dr. (Prof.) Brig. Ashok Saxena, Director – Paediatrics & Neonatology, ShardaCare – Healthcity, said regular monitoring could help identify childhood health concerns earlier.
“A child’s health needs attention beyond treating an illness. Regular monitoring of growth, development, nutrition and immunisation can help parents recognise concerns at an early stage,” he said, adding that feeding difficulties, recurrent infections, breathing problems and developmental delays should be discussed with a paediatrician.
Along with specialist consultations, the camp provided free investigations and guidance aimed at encouraging people to seek medical attention before health problems become more serious.
The initiative reflects ShardaCare – Healthcity’s community outreach efforts to expand access to specialist healthcare and encourage women, children and families to make preventive health checks a regular part of their healthcare routine.
By combining screening, specialist advice and health awareness, such initiatives can help families identify potential concerns earlier and seek appropriate care without delay.
