Adani Group Plans Nationwide Network of 30 Hospitals in Major Healthcare Expansion

The Adani Group has announced plans to develop 30 advanced hospitals across India as part of a large social investment programme worth ₹60,000 crore aimed at strengthening the country’s healthcare and education systems.

The initiative was highlighted by Karan Adani during a leadership summit held in New Delhi on March 13. He explained that the project reflects the group’s belief that strong social institutions such as hospitals and schools are essential for sustainable economic growth.

The broader programme includes the establishment of 300 schools along with the hospitals, and will be implemented gradually over the next decade. The aim is to expand access to quality healthcare and education in different parts of the country while creating long-term benefits for communities.

The investment stems from a philanthropic commitment made by Gautam Adani in 2022 on the occasion of his 60th birthday. The pledge focuses on improving healthcare, education and skills development through large-scale institutional projects across India.

According to Karan Adani, while infrastructure such as ports, logistics networks and energy systems supports economic expansion, social infrastructure like hospitals and schools plays a vital role in strengthening communities and building a resilient nation.

He also noted that the programme builds on the long-standing work of the Adani Foundation, which has been engaged in community development initiatives for nearly three decades, focusing on areas such as healthcare, education, rural development and livelihoods.

The planned hospitals are expected to improve access to advanced medical care in several regions while contributing to India’s broader healthcare infrastructure development.
