Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital in Saket has expanded its capacity to around 1,200 beds with the addition of a new 400-bed hospital tower, strengthening its ability to provide complex and specialised medical care in Delhi.
The expanded facility will support tertiary and quaternary healthcare services across more than 22 specialities. It is expected to meet the rising demand for specialised treatment from patients in Delhi-NCR as well as those travelling from other parts of India and abroad.
Advanced technology is a key feature of the new tower. The facility includes the Da Vinci Xi surgical robot and Mako Total Knee Replacement Robot, supporting precision-focused and minimally invasive procedures.
The new tower was formally inaugurated on Thursday by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta attended the event as the guest of honour. Pankaj Kumar Singh, Delhi’s Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Transport and Information Technology, and South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri were also present.
With the expansion, Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital becomes the largest private hospital in Delhi by bed capacity, according to the hospital.
“This state-of-the-art new facility brings together cutting-edge technology, world-class infrastructure and exceptional Indian clinical talent to deliver advanced, high-quality patient care to people from India and across the globe,” Max Healthcare Institute Ltd Chairman and Managing Director Abhay Soi said.
Soi said the expanded infrastructure would also help strengthen the country’s healthcare ecosystem and contribute to the broader vision of building a developed India.

The addition of the new tower significantly increases the hospital’s capacity for advanced and specialised treatment. With expanded infrastructure, robotic technology and a broad range of clinical specialities, the facility is positioned to serve both domestic and international patients seeking complex healthcare in Delhi.
