Rainbow Children’s Hospital Adds Robotic Surgery for Advanced Gynaecological Care

Rainbow Children’s Hospital has introduced robotic-assisted gynaecological surgery at its Financial District facility in Hyderabad, strengthening its ability to treat complex conditions through minimally invasive techniques.

The technology gives surgeons enhanced precision and control during procedures, potentially resulting in smaller incisions, less blood loss and quicker recovery. It can be used for conditions including uterine fibroids, endometriosis and other gynaecological disorders requiring surgery.

The growing adoption of minimally invasive techniques in India has also expanded the range of surgical options available to women. Procedures such as myomectomy, hysteroscopy, laparoscopic hysterectomy, ovarian cyst removal and surgical treatment of endometriosis can, where clinically appropriate, reduce the need for conventional open surgery. Patients may benefit from shorter hospital stays, faster recovery and fewer post-operative complications.

Through its women’s healthcare division, BirthRight by Rainbow, the hospital provides services covering normal and high-risk pregnancies, fertility care and advanced gynaecological procedures. Its capabilities include hysteroscopy, myomectomy, laparoscopic surgery and robotic-assisted interventions.

The addition of robotic surgery at the Financial District centre is expected to further strengthen its capacity to handle complex gynaecological cases. The hospital also plans to extend robotic-assisted procedures to more areas of women’s healthcare in the coming months.

The adoption of robotic technology represents another step towards more precise and less invasive surgical care, giving women access to advanced treatment options closer to home.
