The Delhi government has rolled out a new Health Information Management System (HIMS) aimed at improving healthcare delivery in its public hospitals. As of July 24, 2025, patients can schedule OPD appointments online at 35 government-run hospitals and access their medical records digitally through their Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) IDs.
This digital initiative is expected to reduce overcrowding, minimize waiting times, and streamline patient services. By linking health data with ABHA IDs, the system ensures centralized, secure access to patient information across facilities, promoting better coordination of care.
Officials confirmed that additional features and wider hospital coverage are planned as part of the system’s next phase of implementation.
