ShardaCare-Healthcity in Greater Noida has launched North India’s largest Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Centre, strengthening advanced tertiary care in the region. The facility was inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister, Shri Brajesh Pathak, alongside senior medical professionals and Sharda Group leadership.
The new centre is built to treat complex blood disorders such as leukemia, lymphoma, thalassemia, and aplastic anemia. It features advanced infrastructure, infection-controlled transplant units, and a team of experienced specialists, aiming to raise the standard of BMT services across North India.
Designed for both adults and children, the centre offers a full range of transplant procedures, including matched sibling, unrelated donor, haploidentical, and autologous transplants. It also provides therapies for autoimmune diseases like multiple sclerosis, supported by targeted treatments, immunotherapy, and CAR-T cell therapy. Dedicated HEPA-filtered units, advanced diagnostics, and immunology support ensure precise donor matching and patient monitoring.
By integrating hematology, oncology, and critical care under one roof, the centre enables seamless, patient-focused treatment. Its scale and end-to-end care model are expected to improve accessibility and reduce dependence on metro cities for advanced transplant procedures.
Blood disorders remain a growing concern, with many cases still undiagnosed. Among children, a significant number are affected by inherited haemoglobin diseases, often detected at an early age.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. P.K. Gupta, Chairman, Sharda Group, said: “With the launch of North India’s largest Bone Marrow Transplant Centre, we are taking a decisive step towards building a future-ready healthcare ecosystem. This facility reflects our commitment to making highly specialized, life-saving treatments like BMT accessible at scale, while setting new benchmarks in clinical excellence and patient care.”
Mr. Y.K. Gupta, Vice Chairman, Sharda Group, added: “The establishment of this advanced BMT Centre strengthens ShardaCare Healthcity’s position as a leader in tertiary care. By combining cutting-edge technology with expert medical teams, we aim to deliver superior transplant outcomes and bring world-class hematology care closer to patients across North India.”
Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh, Vice Chairman, Department of Haemato-Oncology & BMT, ShardaCare-Healthcity, said: “Bone Marrow Transplant is a life-saving and often curative treatment for several serious blood disorders. At ShardaCare–Healthcity, we are not only advancing BMT services with precision, safety, and improved outcomes, but also actively supporting the Government of India’s mission to eliminate sickle cell disease by 2047 through comprehensive and curative care. Our focus is to expand access, enhance outcomes, and bring hope to patients and families.”
With this addition, ShardaCare-Healthcity reinforces its role as a key healthcare hub in North India, combining scale, expertise, and innovation to deliver high-quality patient care.
