Surya Hospitals to Invest Rs 80 Crore in Mumbai & Ahmedabad Expansion

Surya Hospitals has announced an investment of Rs 80 crore for expansion projects during the ongoing financial year, focusing on strengthening healthcare services for women and children.

A major portion of the investment will be utilised for building a new hospital facility in Kandivali. At the same time, the group is also expanding its Santacruz centre by adding 55 more beds to meet growing healthcare demand.

The hospital network, which already operates centres in Mumbai and Jaipur and is preparing to launch a new facility in Pune, is now planning its entry into Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Speaking about the development, Dr. Bhupendra S Avasthi said the recently launched “Amber Wing” at the Santacruz hospital has increased the facility’s total capacity to more than 250 beds dedicated to women and children’s healthcare services.

The company is also preparing to establish a specialty hospital in Ahmedabad. According to reports, the new facility is expected to begin operations in the next financial year, further expanding the group’s footprint across western India.

Surya Hospitals stated that the entire expansion programme is being funded through internal accruals, highlighting the organisation’s stable financial position and long-term growth strategy.

The latest investment plans reflect the healthcare group’s continued commitment to enhancing specialised medical infrastructure and improving access to quality care for women and children in multiple Indian cities.
