Healthcare major Park Medi World has announced the acquisition of The Medicity Hospital in Rudrapur through an all-cash deal worth Rs 177 crore. The company will acquire the hospital’s entire outstanding shareholding as part of the transaction.
With this move, the Park Group expands its footprint into Uttarakhand, marking its presence in a sixth Indian state. The acquisition is expected to strengthen the company’s growing healthcare network across North India.
Located in Rudrapur, The Medicity Hospital is a 330-bed multi-super speciality medical facility catering to patients from Uttarakhand and nearby regions.
According to a company statement, the acquisition aligns with Park Medi World’s long-term expansion strategy focused on improving operational efficiency and creating scale by investing in high-growth yet underserved healthcare markets.
Commenting on the development, Dr Ankit Gupta said, “This acquisition marks a significant milestone in our strategic journey to build a world-class, pan-North India healthcare network”.
