Ramkrishna CARE Hospitals has announced the launch of the Ramkrishna CARE Cancer Institute, a dedicated oncology facility set to begin operations in August 2026. The announcement was made during the opening session of OncoSphere 2.0, the hospital’s flagship national conference focused on cancer care and treatment advancements.
The summit witnessed participation from more than 600 oncologists, cancer researchers, specialists, and healthcare professionals from different parts of India, highlighting the increasing emphasis on strengthening the country’s oncology ecosystem.
The upcoming institute is expected to play a crucial role in enhancing access to specialized cancer treatment services in Chhattisgarh and across Central India. The facility will be equipped with the Versa HD Radiation Linac, regarded among the most advanced radiation therapy technologies available globally.

The institute was unveiled in the presence of Dr. Sandeep Dave, Managing & Clinical Director of Ramkrishna CARE Hospitals; Mr. Haresh Trivedi, Regional CEO – West & Central India, CARE Hospitals; Dr. Ravi Jaiswal, Senior Medical Oncologist; Dr. Mou Roy, Senior Surgical Oncologist; Dr. Naveen Jain, Senior Surgical Oncologist; Dr. Gourav Gupta, Senior Radiation Oncologist; Dr. Neeru Kerketta, Senior Consultant – Nuclear Medicine; along with several prominent oncology experts from across the country. The ceremony was formally led by Shyam Bihari Jaiswal.
Addressing the gathering, Shyam Bihari Jaiswal stressed the need to expand access to modern cancer treatment facilities. He said that strengthening oncology infrastructure remains vital for improving patient outcomes and providing better support to families dealing with cancer.
Dr. Sandeep Dave noted that the rising incidence of cancer cases in Chhattisgarh and the wider Central India region has created an urgent need for integrated, multidisciplinary, and technology-enabled cancer care services.

Speaking on the occasion, Haresh Trivedi said that the establishment of the new institute demonstrates CARE Hospitals’ long-term vision of enhancing oncology capabilities and making advanced cancer treatment more accessible to patients across the region.
