Aakash Healthcare is preparing for a major expansion across North India as it aims to increase its bed capacity from the current 400 to 2,000 by the end of next year.
The healthcare provider, which has completed nine years of operations, plans to establish new facilities in Delhi, Gurugram, Mathura and Dehradun. The expansion will be supported through partnerships with regional healthcare providers.
Focus on Super-Speciality and Tertiary Care
The upcoming facilities will focus on super-speciality and tertiary healthcare services, with orthopaedics—particularly knee replacement—identified as a key area of focus.
The expansion is aimed at improving access to advanced healthcare services and reducing the need for patients to travel long distances for specialised treatment.
“I am looking forward to Aakash Healthcare reaching new locations and serving more communities. The next two years are going to be transformative for us,” said Dr Aashish Chaudhry.
Growing Presence in Medical Value Tourism
Aakash Healthcare is also strengthening its position in medical value tourism. According to hospital data, patients from 55 countries have travelled to the institution for treatment.

Research and Medical Education
Beyond patient care, Aakash Healthcare has built a growing presence in clinical research. The institution has completed more than 25 clinical trials and currently has 23 Indian and international trials underway.
Its Department of Academics and Clinical Research also offers DNB, DrNB, FNB, fellowship, paramedical and skill enhancement programmes across multiple specialties.
With its planned expansion to 2,000 beds, Aakash Healthcare is entering a significant new phase of growth. The wider North India network, combined with its focus on specialised care, medical value tourism, clinical research and medical education, is expected to strengthen its healthcare footprint in the region.
