Wockhardt Hospital, Mumbai Central, has expanded its specialist healthcare outreach with the launch of its first superspecialty outpatient department (OPD) at Kemps Corner in South Mumbai.
Designed as an extension of the hospital, the new centre aims to make specialist consultations and advanced healthcare services more convenient and accessible for patients in the area.
Multiple Specialties in One Centre
Spread across 2,800 square feet, the facility brings together specialists from cardiology, neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, gastroenterology, nephrology, urology and orthopaedics, along with other medical disciplines.
The OPD will also provide diagnostic and support services, including pathology, ECG, X-ray and clinical assessments. Patients requiring advanced treatment can be referred to the main hospital for further care.
The centre will operate from 10 am to 8 pm, offering working professionals greater flexibility for specialist consultations and second opinions.
An integrated digital system will maintain patients’ medical records and clinical histories, helping ensure better coordination between consultations, diagnosis and subsequent treatment.
A More Seamless Patient Journey
Through the Kemps Corner facility, Wockhardt Hospital aims to simplify the healthcare journey by connecting outpatient consultations with diagnostics and hospital-based treatment when required.
The hospital may consider expanding this model to other locations if the new centre receives a positive response.
The launch reflects a growing focus on bringing superspecialty healthcare closer to patients outside major hospital campuses. By combining specialist consultations, diagnostics and coordinated referrals, the Kemps Corner OPD could offer South Mumbai residents a more convenient pathway to advanced medical care.
