Kauvery Hospital has expanded its digital security infrastructure by deploying the NetSfere Secure Communications Platform across its hospital network. The move is aimed at enabling secure communication between clinical teams while improving the protection of sensitive patient information.
The healthcare group currently operates 12 hospitals across six locations, supported by more than 900 doctors and 7,000 clinical staff. The new communication system is expected to connect care teams more securely across locations and support faster collaboration in clinical settings.
Secure digital communication for healthcare
The NetSfere deployment is planned over a three-year period and will cover more than 12,000 users and 100 teams. Along with strengthening internal communication, the initiative is designed to support Kauvery Hospital’s broader focus on patient-data protection and digital healthcare.
The move also comes as healthcare organisations face increasing requirements around the collection, handling and protection of personal data. Kauvery Hospital expects the new platform to support its preparedness for evolving regulations, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act).
Building on digital health initiatives
Kauvery Hospital has already invested in strengthening its digital healthcare capabilities. The Group is among the early private healthcare providers in India to receive Platinum certification under the NABH Digital Health Standards.
The latest deployment adds secure communication to this digital infrastructure, with the aim of creating a more protected environment for communication between doctors, clinical teams and other healthcare professionals.
