Max Healthcare is preparing to expand its presence into Gujarat with plans for an 800-bed multi-specialty hospital, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel announced on X.
The development follows a meeting between Patel and Abhay Soi, Chairman and Managing Director of Max Healthcare, in Delhi.
According to Patel, the healthcare group is also looking at expanding its network in Gandhinagar and Surat as part of its future plans for the state.
“Discussed Max Healthcare’s plans to enter Gujarat’s healthcare sector starting with a modern 800-bed multi-specialty hospital, alongside future expansion across Gandhinagar and Surat. They appreciated Gujarat’s progressive urban planning and favorable FSI policies that encourage large-scale healthcare infrastructure.
“Gujarat remains committed to building world-class medical facilities and strengthening our healthcare ecosystem to provide top-tier care for all,” Patel said.
The proposed hospital is expected to add significant capacity to Gujarat’s healthcare infrastructure and strengthen access to advanced multi-specialty medical services. The planned expansion also signals growing private-sector investment in the state’s healthcare sector.
