Park Medi World Limited has secured a Public–Private Partnership (PPP) mandate from the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation to build and operate a 550-bed multi-super-speciality hospital in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
The project is part of Park Group’s expansion in the state. The company plans to complete construction within two years from the appointed date and will operate the hospital under a 45-year lease.
The hospital will come up on a 3.22-acre site provided by the Municipal Corporation. The agreement also allows Park Group to obtain another 2.47 acres from the fifth year after the hospital begins commercial operations, creating scope for future expansion.
Located just behind Arail Ghat, the facility will serve one of Prayagraj’s densely populated areas. Arail Ghat is about 3 km by road from Sangam Ghat and approximately 0.5 km by boat. Its proximity to the Sangam makes the hospital accessible to both local residents and the large number of visitors arriving in the city for religious and pilgrimage activities.
Once operational, the hospital is expected to become the largest private healthcare facility in Prayagraj.
Park Group is expected to invest around ₹200 crore in developing the hospital. A major component of the project is financial support from the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation, which will reimburse ₹76.52 crore towards construction costs.
This reimbursement covers nearly 38% of the planned capital investment and is expected to reduce the financial burden associated with the project while supporting the expansion of healthcare infrastructure in the region.
Under the concession agreement, Park Group will pay an annual concession fee of ₹18.10 crore to the Municipal Corporation. The fee will increase by 3% each year.
The new hospital is expected to add substantial private-sector healthcare capacity in Prayagraj, particularly through its multi-super-speciality services. Its location near the Sangam area could also make it an important healthcare point for the city’s growing resident and visitor population.
With construction planned over the next two years and additional land available for future expansion, the project could become a significant part of Park Medi World’s healthcare network in Uttar Pradesh.
The PPP project represents a major healthcare infrastructure investment in Prayagraj. By combining private-sector hospital expertise with government support and a strategically located site, the 550-bed facility is expected to strengthen access to advanced healthcare services in the city and surrounding areas.
