Yashoda Hospitals, Somajiguda Sets Guinness World Record with Largest IBD Awareness Session

Yashoda Hospitals, Somajiguda has secured a place in the Guinness World Records by conducting the world’s largest awareness session on Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). The event saw 578 participants join simultaneously through both physical and virtual platforms, establishing a new global record.

The achievement was officially certified by Rishi Nath, Official Adjudicator, Guinness World Records. The record certificate was presented to Dr. Kiran Peddi, Senior Gastroenterologist and Director, Center for IBD, along with Dr. S. Prashanth Reddy, Unit Head, Yashoda Hospitals, Somajiguda.

Highlighting the significance of the milestone, Dr. Pavan Gorukanti, Director, Yashoda Hospitals, said, “The remarkable achievement reflects the collective efforts of our doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, administrators and every member of the Yashoda family.”

The awareness initiative was aimed at educating the public about Inflammatory Bowel Disease, helping people recognize its early symptoms, and encouraging prompt medical consultation for better outcomes.

Alongside the record-setting event, Yashoda Hospitals also organised IBD Conclave 2.0, attracting healthcare professionals and delegates from India and several other countries to discuss advancements in IBD diagnosis and treatment.

The Guinness World Record reflects Yashoda Hospitals’ continued commitment to public health education and awareness. By combining large-scale community outreach with academic collaboration, the hospital aims to improve early detection and management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease while strengthening knowledge sharing among healthcare professionals.
