Fortis Healthcare is set to expand its presence into Odisha after entering into an Operations and Management (O&M) agreement with Dion Group to develop a 300-bed multi-specialty hospital in Trishulia, Cuttack. The greenfield project will be located within Dion Riverside Township and marks Fortis’ first major healthcare venture in the state.
Positioned along the fast-growing Cuttack-Bhubaneswar corridor, the hospital is expected to serve patients from across Odisha as well as neighbouring states. The facility will provide advanced tertiary and quaternary healthcare services, backed by modern diagnostic facilities, critical care units, and specialised treatment programmes.
The collaboration is part of Fortis Healthcare’s broader expansion strategy, which focuses on increasing its national presence through a mix of brownfield expansion, inorganic growth, and asset-light initiatives such as Operations and Management partnerships.
Dr. Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, Managing Director & CEO, Fortis Healthcare, said, “We are delighted to partner with Dion Group for this important healthcare project in Odisha. The upcoming 300-bed multi-specialty hospital will play a significant role in improving access to advanced tertiary care services for patients across Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, and neighbouring regions.”
“This collaboration represents an important milestone in Fortis Healthcare’s growth journey and reflects our continued commitment to expanding high-quality healthcare infrastructure across India. We look forward to bringing Fortis’ clinical excellence, patient-centric care, and operational expertise to Odisha,” added Dr. Raghuvanshi.
Dion Group, a Bhubaneswar-based real estate and infrastructure company, has developed several residential, commercial, and integrated township projects across Odisha. With this initiative, the company is making its entry into the healthcare infrastructure segment.
Manoj Sahoo, Promoter, Dion Group, said, “At Dion Group, our vision has always been to create integrated communities supported by world-class infrastructure and services. We are pleased to partner with Fortis Healthcare to bring a world-class multi-specialty hospital to Odisha.”
“By combining Fortis’ proven clinical and operational expertise with our vision, this project will help address the growing demand for advanced healthcare services and provide patients with access to quality medical care closer to home,” he said.
The upcoming hospital is expected to enhance access to advanced medical services in eastern India while supporting the region’s growing healthcare needs. The project also reflects the increasing collaboration between healthcare providers and infrastructure developers to strengthen medical facilities across the country.
