AIIMS New Delhi has added the first locally manufactured FUJIFILM EP-6000 Endoscopy System to its advanced diagnostic capabilities, marking a significant step in the country’s medical-device manufacturing journey.
Carrying serial number 001, the system is the first Made-in-India EP-6000 Endoscopy System manufactured by FUJIFILM India. Its installation at AIIMS follows the company’s establishment of endoscopy manufacturing at its contract manufacturing facility in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, earlier this year.
The milestone was commemorated by Koji Wada, Managing Director, FUJIFILM India, along with Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda Ji, Hon’ble Union Cabinet Minister, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India.
The move represents an important development in FUJIFILM India’s healthcare and manufacturing operations in the country. It also reflects the company’s ongoing efforts to expand domestic production of medical technology in line with the Government of India’s Make in India initiative.
